Care That Goes Beyond Aesthetics

Neuromodulator Treatment

Personalized treatments for expression lines and selected medical concerns

Neuromodulator treatments are designed to soften the appearance of expression lines while preserving natural facial movement and balance. Products such as Botox®, Dysport®, and Xeomin® work by temporarily relaxing targeted muscles, helping reduce dynamic wrinkles in areas such as the forehead, frown lines, and crow’s feet.

Our approach is personalized to your facial anatomy, muscle movement, concerns, and treatment goals. The focus is on subtle, natural-looking results that help you appear refreshed.

In addition to aesthetic treatments, neuromodulators may also be used therapeutically to help manage concerns such as chronic migraines, jaw clenching, teeth grinding, TMJ-related muscle tension, and excessive sweating. Each treatment plan is carefully tailored to your individual needs following an assessment with your provider.

Areas It Treats

01

Forehead

Neuromodulator treatments may help soften forehead expression lines while maintaining a natural-looking result when clinically appropriate.

02

Frown Lines

Treatments may help reduce the appearance of frown lines between the brows by relaxing the muscles that create these expression lines.

03

Excessive Sweating

Botulinum toxin may help reduce severe underarm sweating when appropriate. Your provider will review symptoms, previous treatments and expected benefits.

04

TMJ-Related Muscle Tension

Neuromodulator treatments may help relieve jaw clenching, muscle tension, and related discomfort in suitable patients.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I still look natural?

Absolutely—that is our goal.

Neuromodulator treatments should soften unwanted lines without eliminating your natural expressions. At Expressions MD, we favour a conservative, individualized approach that helps you look rested and refreshed rather than frozen or overtreated.

How long does it take to see results?

Most patients begin noticing changes within 3–5 days, although some products and treatment areas may respond sooner or later.

Full results are generally assessed after approximately 14 days.

How long do the results last?

Results typically last 3–4 months, although this varies depending on the product, treatment area, dose, muscle strength, and individual metabolism.

With regular treatments, some patients find that their expression lines become less noticeable even as the medication gradually wears off.

Are the injections painful?

Most patients describe the injections as a brief pinch or tiny sting. We use very fine needles, and the procedure is generally well tolerated.

Treatment usually takes approximately 10–20 minutes, depending on the number of areas being treated.

What is the difference between Botox®, Dysport®, and Xeomin®?

All three products contain forms of botulinum toxin type A and work by temporarily reducing targeted muscle activity.

They differ in formulation, dosing, and certain clinical characteristics. Their units are not interchangeable.

Your clinician will recommend an appropriate product and dose based on your treatment goals, anatomy, and clinical assessment.

How often should I return for treatment?

Most patients return approximately every 3–4 months, although some prefer less frequent treatments.

We recommend allowing the full effect of your initial treatment to develop before considering adjustments. Treatments should not be repeated more frequently than clinically appropriate.
